Henry Roberts, Chart of Cook’s River - London 1784 On the completion of Cook’s third expedition, Lieutenant Henry Roberts was given the task of compiling the many charts and surveys drawn by Captain Cook and his officers. This chart, from the official account published in London, shows the track of the Resolution from 20 May through 9 June 1778, as they carefully explored and charted Prince William Sound and Cook’s Inlet (labeled on the map as Cook’s River), the site of present-day Anchorage, Alaska.
