Collection Gallery 3:

Gallery 3 features just two maps, both copperplate engravings, that came about as a result of secret Russian explorations in the Pacific. As a matter of policy, the Russian and Spanish governments kept their voyages of exploration secret and the two nations published very few maps of their discoveries at the time.
